I decided to make a card using some of the dies I designed for Joanna Sheen's Signature die range I have used these - Rose Heart - Lace Corner Detail and the Lace Border detail
Also, I wanted to play around with a technique for foiling that I found here.
I used 2 of the spellbinders nesting heart dies. I scanned them and saved the scan as a PDF file, then opened it up in PSP to make the scanned images black.. After I printed them onto some cream card I foiled them both by running them through my laminator with some satin gold foil.. and then I die cut them, trimmed the edges so that I could later them later. I cut a Signature Rose die in red to lay under the smaller heart window... and cut the Signature Lace corner and border layering red card underside of them.. I also added some pretty organsa fabric behind the red rose heart plus some organsa ribbon along the top.. all the bits were then layered and stuck onto my A5 card base.
I really like the added look of satin gold foil around the hearts. I can't wait to do more foiling using this technique.
Here's my card...
Thanks for visiting my blog today...
Hugs xx
So beautiful, both the card and your dies.
