Joanna was on TV today with some wonderful shows with an Under the sea and Beach theme, all very summery and colourful.
I designed alot of the dies for the shows and have made some sample cards. I had a lot of fun making these and used various things to colour them.
Here they are:
I found a simple outline for the goggles on the internet
and printed them out the size I needed to make a template
I cut 2 out by hand cutting the insides away. The one on
the front of card has acetate behind and the one
stuck to the inside edge is to keep it neat when
the card is opened up.
and when it is opened up...
I created the background using Distress Oxide ink
and also die cut some of the dies using off cuts of the same background
and other brusho backgrounds I had made.. left over background pieces of card
are great for this
Using 4 colours I created a torn paper background
the netting is Navy Tulle. I paper pieced
the diver.
This background is made from various
colours of Brusho
I used Distress Oxides for the 'water'
The table and mat are Joanna Sheen
papers from Vol.3 paper pad and the
lace on top of the mat and in
each corner is Maisie Lace border
Joanna demonstated how to do the waves on this card
by curving off the corner and cutting into
the Ocean Corner Signature die
Here's the same card but with the seals on the rocks
I used Distress Oxides for the background and rocks
This is an easle card
I used some lovely irridescent paper
for the large pearl and around the shell.
This card was so much fun to make. I created the words on the topper
on my PC leaving space for the picture with dies. All the dies
were watercoloured with Distress Oxide inks.
I used a snow pen for the sea foam.. I heated it gently to
make it puff up a little bit.
