~FREEBIE~ Sunday 1st May

Hello Bloggers,
Who hasn't been inspired by the wonderful coverage of the Royal Wedding on TV on Friday. I loved it.. .total eye candy. It inspired me to draw this week's Freebie image... here it is.. click on it to save a larger image

I hope you like it and I would love to see your cards ...
Here's a card I have made.....
I am putting it forward for the Less is More Challenge this week which is to use Thankyou or Congratulaions on a card... I hope it qualifies as it's a bit more than less Lol!.. anyway, I had great fun drawing it and then using it. I printed it twice.. I inked one with Tim Holtz Antique Linen to create a lovely soft background and then I coloured and decorated the second bride, cut her out and stuck her over the background one. Adding white gell pen and glitter to her dress gives it the look of lace.

Thanks for visiting...
See you soon

Oriental Dance

I've added a new digi stamp today, it's called Oriental Dance.

Here's a card I made.
I used Dovecraft Eastern Promise papers. The stamped rose is from Joanna Sheens Pressed flower stamps.. the Rose sheet. For my digi stamp - I stamped it twice, once onto white card and then again onto one of the 6 x 6 sheets from the Eastern Promise pad, cutting out the ladies kimono and then glueing it onto the image already coloured in with promarker pens just adds so much more.. .. The fantastic sentiment is a freebie over at the TLC blog

Less is more - Week 12

Over at the Less is more Blog, this week's challenge is for a recipe - off centre.
Here is my card for this week..
If you've been here before you will know that the Gramophone on this card is my freebie from last week.. I added some Happy Birthday text and cut around the base of the gramophone so I could add the piece of blue paper. It is coloured with promarker pens and I went over all the text with a clear stardust gelly roll pen but it doesnt' show up very well so here is a close up
I also layered the punched out butterflies onto the same blue paper.

Less is more Week 11

The theme this week is to use Acetate on a card..
I have only just made it for this weeks challenge....

I haven't been able to make a fresh card this week due to one thing or another, but I have one that I have never shown on my blog before.. I made this for my MIL a few years ago I hope it counts..... it has an acetate sleeve ... I sprayed it with white webbing spray... then added the Anna Griffin topper. I keep meaning to use the webbing spray more often on cards be keep forgetting that I have it Lol..
anyway.. here is the card.
I wonder what the new challenge will be tomorrow....Thanks for visiting

~FREEBIE~ Sunday 17th April

Thank you to all you bloggers that have popped along to Stitchy Bear Stamps to download the Champagne Bucket freebie since Friday whether you went there from here or from the link over at the Free Digi stamps blog.. I think it's wonderful that so many of you wanted the image - feel free to let me see your projects with it.

I had fun drawing today's FREEBIE... it's a Gramophone for you... here it is....

..and here is an A5 card I made using it....
The background paper is from Kay and Co.. the Oval has been embossed with a music script folder. I used promarkers to colour the Gramophone adding highlights with a clear stardust pen. I wish I had some flying birds as I think that would have looked very pretty...maybe I should draw some Lol....but the butterflies look pretty too..

Thank You for visiting my blog today... I hope you are having a lovely weekend where ever you are.
.. See you soon...

Celebrate!

I'd like to share 2 cards I made using one of my own freebies and the background freebie available over at TLC Blog.... It comes in blue - I colourized the other one to create it in pink.

I drew the Champagne Bucket back in December and is available for free over at the Stitchy Bear Stamp shop.. It comes as a JPeg, Tiff and PNG formats.. which allows a background to be added. I used promarker pens to colour the image.Isn't it amazing what can be created for free!

Pressed Flower Stamps

Thank you for all your lovely comments on my last post.. it's wonderful that so many of you took the time to let me know how much you like my card for the Less is More challenge this week.

The minute I saw Joanna Sheen's Pressed Flower Stamps launched on TV last weekend, I knew I really, really needed them.. Lol! I started pressing flowers back in 1998 and got well and truly hooked from then on. Sadly, due to ill health over the last 6 years, my garden is no longer full of flowers for me to press so my pressing has become less and less. Ocassionally I will press something for someone as a surprise...or offer to press special flowers and sometimes I see flowers in the florist that I just have to press Lol... Anyway, I treated myself to all three stamp sheets of the Pressed flower stamps and have had a little play already. I have lots of stamped coloured in flowers now he he. ... and I have tried something different with them... here are a couple of cards I have made so far....
I am really loving combining cream and white with black. I stamped the hydrangea stamp onto cream paper with black momento ink cut them out and added little pearls in the centre of each one then I used 2 other stamps to add the 'filler' foliage straight onto the card.. I really like the fresh look it has.
I had a couple of little flowers left over so added them to this card....
I added gems in the centre of these flowers.

Thanks you for visiting my blog today - I will be back tomorrow with 2 more cards I have made lately using just freebies..

Weekly Challenge - Week 10 - One layer card

Over at the Less is More blog for us "LIMettes" Lol... the challenge set for us this week is to create a One layer card with the Sentiment being the main focus on the card..
Here is my card for this week...

This sentiment is free over at the TLC blog..I got it here. I printed it straight onto my 6" x 6" card. I stamped the fish from the Joanna Sheen Tales of the Ocean rubber stamps once and then masked it and stamped a second one straight onto the card. I drew the line and then used a circle cut out of a larger piece of paper as a template to add some inking with distress inks. I used a water brush to paint water dots to blot off, I thought this looks quite nice and adds to the watery fishy feel of the card.

Thank you for all the lovely get well wishes in the comments.. I am nearly better but not quite as now I have caught a rotten cough and cold... still, that can't last for long... so hopefully I will feel much much better soon..
Thanks for visiting... see you soon..

Gorgeous DCWV Black currant Stack

I've had my eye on this stack ever since I first saw it on line. The colour is simply gorgeous! I treated myself to one a few weeks back so I thought I'd share some of the cards I have made with it so far.. mainly for Mother's Day - which has just gone for us in the UK..

I have used cream cardstock and the evening bag rubber stamps I designed for Joanna Sheen a while back that is part of the Sparkle and Romance collection., I couldn't resist using some JS purfume bottle stamps too and for the 3rd one I stamped the background with a beautiful Elusive Images stamp. I think that this stack is just crying out for girly cards and projects and needs lots of bling LOL!

Weekly Challenge -Week 9 - Touch of Red

Over at the Less is More challenge blog this week its week 9 already! I am amazed at how quickly the time is going this year. The challenge for this week is to use 'a Touch of Red' on a clean and simple card. I have struggled with this so far this week probably due to not feeling too good after having 3 of my front lower teeth out last Thursday due to a massive infection that has been there for ages... I haven't been able to concentrate on much at all.
... Anyway, today I do feel much better and decided to use one of my own free images 'If the Shoe fits' for this card.
Here it is
I used promarker pens to colour these with a glitter gel pen to add sparkle. I created the red gem using a red pearl pen sprinkled with glitter and then used a pearl pen to add the pearly accents around it. Here's a close up...
Scoring the lines under the shoes allows them to sit there instead of float on the card. I decided to use the lovely floral vine Martha Stewart punch to add decoration with some pretty silver crackle effect card beneath it. I finished it with a foiled greeting.

I hope every one here in the UK is enjoying the beautiful spring sunshine.. It really is welcome after the long dreary winter isn't it.

Thanks for visiting... see you soon..
