More Tales of the Ocean cards

I've had a rotten time this last 2 weeks. I went into hospital to have a hernia repair operation which was meant to be an in and out the same day surgery, but I they kept me in for 3 days which was unexpected because the hernia was much bigger than originally thought...and painful too.. my 4" scar is healing well though so I can't moan too much. On top of this I had a flare up in my mouth..I have an absess in my lower front teeth which my dentist wants to take out next week (yuk)... and ... on top of all this I woke up at 5 am this morning in pain in my neck..when I looked the jaw bone each side of my face is hugely swollen up! I look like a toad. Hubby rushed me to the A & E. (ER). but the doc said it's just a viral throat infection and I have to go home and take paracetamol and it should go in about 5 days!!.. I am not a happy bunny and I am afraid I am feeling totally sorry for myself at the moment.

.... so, to simply cheer myself up I thought I would add the rest of my sample cards to my blog as I promised 2 weeks ago when the 'Tales of the Ocean stamps' were launched on the TV. I have no idea how many people have invested in buying these stamps but if any of you bloggers out there have, I would really love to see how you are using them.

I've shown 3 cards already, so here are the rest... I am simply going to add the pictures for now and I will go into more detail later - espcially with the paper clay embellishments that I made.. perhaps with some tutorials.. Your comments are welcome..Here are the cards..

Thank you for visiting today... I hope to be back soon..

  1. Hi Sylvie - I hope you are feeling better soon. I love these images and desperately want to invest, but I have a £200 dental bill looming so I need to be sensible. I was going to buy them with my birthday money but bought a trollbead instead. I have however used your free turtle, but it went wrong so is hardly worthy. I did post it on my blog, but intend to have another go, and quite possibly use it for a submission in my PaperCraft qualification

  2. Sorry to hear you are so poorly, Sylvie. I hope that you get well soon and that the teeth are resolved quickly.

I love the stamps. I haven't bought them yet because I'm supposed to be saving my money - but I'm sure that won't last! The card samples are amazing. I think the puffin one is my favourite.

  3. Dear Sylvie, sorry to hear that you are not feeling your best, I feel for ye. As I was reading your post I could feel the pain myself. I pray that you will be 'back to normal' very soon. I love all your work, I am such a fan of yours. Love all your digis and the way you do your cards. I would love tutorials on anything you do. All the best, blessings Hilde

  4. Ohh Sylvie you really have had a rough time of it!!
Love the starfish and sequins card - it is really pretty.

I saw the show the other day and your cards are beautiful each so different.

  8. It's a month since my previous comment on this blogpost. I know you have seen my initial experiments with your cards, but just to let you know that I've put 2 links to your blog on my post - one at the top to your lastest post, and one direct to this post so folks can see what can be achieved in more experienced hands than mine. Hope you feeling much better now xxx
