Reindeers with template

I'ts been a bit quite on my blog recently because I've been busy away from the computer.  One of the things I've enjoyed is  making stuff with my grandson for Christmas.  The houses are finished but I've changed the lights to red.. and put them on a different shelf..

Another project we did was to make some paper reindeers.  I printed them onto card, then we had a great afternoon painting them before cutting them out when they dried.. We added little fluffy tails with cotton wool balls.  The name tags and the jingle bells added a nice little touch.  The sleigh is made from one of my favourite materials - foam board - it's easy to cut and is a bit more stable than card.  We covered it with Christmas papers and used peel offs to decorate.. the little Santa is a beany toy that fitted perfectly in the seat.  My little grandson also enjoyed wrapping little pressys he put in the back of the sleigh.

I can't remember where I got this template from as I've had it for ages.  Here it is.  Print it to fill an A4 sheet.  We painted ours before we cut it out to make it easier, but you could print it onto patterned card.. Have fun!  we did!!
