Samples from Joanna Sheen's recent TV Shows

I've been meaning to add these samples to my blog for the past week!, life has taken over but I am here now with so many samples!!.  Joanna's TV shows  launched the Safari Signature dies along with more floral dies and some SkyScapes too.

First of all here are the Safari Themed samples made with dies I designed for Joanna Sheen.

I die cut the Girrafe panel with shrink plastic, cutting away the frame and trees before I used heat..it made this lovely little embellishment for the card!
I die cut the lion panel with shrik plastic to make an embellishment for the above card.

Next are the samples I made using the SkyScape Signature dies:

To keep the die attached to the card like I have at the top of the inside of the above card, make sure that you place your cutting plate just above the edge of the die when you pass it through your die cutting machine.
Yep! I used little LED lights again inside this card.. one of my favourite things to do nowdays LOL!

I used Distress Oxide and Distress Inks on the above card..- I cut out 1 Paris skyscape dies  covering them with  matching colours with the distress ink on top and the Oxide ink on the bottom then positioned them on a piece of card and used a damp brush to spread the ink on the top and bottom.. the oxide ink comes out softer.. then I die cut a clean skyscape raising it a little bit with foam pads. I was pleased with how it turned out.
This card has a Distress Oxide background..

Here are the last lot of samples I made for Joanna Sheens last Tv show

This Wedding Invitation uses the Floral Roses wrap - and the Filigree wrap signature dies

Thank you for visiting my blog today.. I hope I've inspired some of you to have a go at creating your own cards :)

LIM -Week 171 One layer challenge

I haven't visited the Less is more challenge blog for absolutely ages, (I'e been busy with other projects)  so I have some free time on my hands right now, I wanted to join in and have some fun.

Here are my two cards for the one layer challenge for this week...

I have stamped everything straight onto the A5 watercolour card - masking out parts along the way.  For the flowers and leaves I used vaious stamps from the Flowers for Pots sheets that I designed for Joanna Sheen
I drew the shape for the hanging basket by drawing around the Joanna Sheen Signature Hanging basket die.  All of these dies are fantastic to use on cards but as this is a one layer card I just used the shape to colour onto the card.  I used a mixture of Tim Holtz distress inks and gel pens to water colour the image.

Again I have stamped straight onto the 8" x 8" cream card making stamped images as I went along.  The Jug is a stamp from Joanna Sheen Natures Lace stamp sheet.  The lovely Hydrangeas are from Joanna Sheen - Summer Flowers for Pots stamp sheet.
The Lace border is from the Take One Step Lace Stamp sheet from Joanna Sheen  and the bow is from the Joanna Sheen Thinking of You Vintage floral Stamp sheet.  The letter tiles are just cut up pieces  that I put on the card before inking the background, I then added little dots and wrote the letters in at the end. I finished with adding a squigley line around the edge of the card.

Thank you for visiting today.. I hope to join in more often with the weekly challenges on the Less is More blog.

Hugs x

2 card orders...

I didn't realise that it's been so long since I posted anything!!.. I've been busy with so many other things going on in my 'non computer life' Lol..

I was asked to make these 2 cards recently.

The first one uses the Daffodil on the  Winter flowers for pots rubber stamps, the vase is a peel off with some blue celephane..I did the same for  the frame to match.  The lace is stamped (Anna Griffin).

The second card I made using one of Sue Wilsons lovely new dies.. this one is called 'Hollywood' from the Californian  Collection - I layered it down into the card with some green vellum behind. The border on the side is one of Anna Griffins slim embossing border folders.

Thanks for visiting today.. I hope not to leave it so long between posts next time :)

Mini flower cards

I made these cards using the lovely new Joanna Sheen Signature garden container dies with the flowers for pots range of rubber stamps.  I coloured the flowers with promarker pens before I cut them out.  Some of the dies are cut from wood veneer, some are cut from embossed wallpaper and then coloured.  The 'pebbles' in some of them are also cut out pieces of wallpaper.
I hope they will inspire some of you to make your own little floral cards.
They are very easy to make and look so clean and fresh.. I am completely addicted to playing with them LOL.

Thank you for visiting today.

More flowers for pots

I'm off to visit  the NEC in Birmingham today, I've not been before so I am looking forward to it.
It's been a while since my last blog post I thought I would add a few samples I've made since last time.

The first batch are using the new flower stamps for pots that I designed for Joanna Sheen.  Joanna wanted tiny little flower stamps that would fit her fabulous new signature container dies to scale.

This second batch of samples are made using Joanna Sheens new Signature large Patchwork dies.

Thank you for visiting today, I hope you've enjoyed looking at the samples.
