Joanna Sheen Wendy Cotterill Stamps

Joanna not only launched the fantastic House Mouse CD project book (see below) today on Create and Craft, but also these fabulous rubber stamps drawn by Wendy Cotterill.

Here are my card samples using the stamps

 

Topper stamped on Canvas (Buckrum) ,

with crystal lacquer on Tulip.

Triple embossed then re-stamped

- embossed in white on top. Bent

topper to create cracks then

inked with walnut stain to distress.

  Topper inked with purple, greens

and brown distress inks. Added

lilac glitter.Tied together

embossing folder- sanded added

sequins and 3 small pearls to finish.

 

Topper background inked first then

embossed with white powder. Coloured

detail with distress ink. Card background is Meadow mask embossed with versamark embossed with white powder then inked to match topper. Stamped and embossed

flowers in copper on top.

 

Stamped & embossed topper twice with

black powder – one onto pearly paper.

Paper pieced pearly flower ontop of

main stamp. Stamped tullips direct to 

card adding touch of promarker in blue.

Used glue pen to add pearl and gold foils

Cut two squares also cut window a bit 

larger than topper out of smaller square

then embossed with mosaic folder -inking edges.

Topper stamped 3 times with

walnut stain distress ink – colouring base

with ink and paper pieceing the other 2

layers.- adding glitter to flowers and

edges of square.

~FREEBIE~ A Palace for you

With all the Jubilee celebrations last weekend I thought I'd use some of the  images and papers that seem to be free  in all the craft magazines at the moment.

I wanted to use the Iron Gates stamp that I designed for Joanna sheen on the Country House stamp sheet , I needed a Palace to go with the gates so I drew this one on the computer.

Here's a card I made using the image and the Iron Gates from the Country House stamp sheet

To make this card I first printed out the Palace and coloured it with promarker pens. Then I stamped the gates using versamark ink adding gold embossing powder to the tips of the gate and black to the rest of them.. I stamped and cut out the stone gate posts and stuck them next to the gate.  I used one of my spellbinder nesties to draw around and cut out the shape and mounted it onto black card.   The pretty bunting is a freebie from Crafts Beautiful magazine. 

I made the roses using a spiral die, cutting them out of buckrum.. they are so easy to make and look gorgeous on cards or other projects.

~FREEBIE~ Cat digi

I used to have 4 gorgeous cats, they all lived long, pampered lives (up to age 19) although they have all gone to cat heaven for several years now, I still miss them.  Here's a drawing I've made into a digi based on one of the many photos I have of them.   Feel free to download and print to use on your cards and projects.

LIM Week 67 One layer card

It's been ages since I made a card for the LIM blog challenge.  I have a bit of free time on my hands and decided to have a go.   I really enjoyed making this card for this week's one layer card using just 3 stamps.  I used 3 stamps from the sheet Joanna Sheen Knitting stamps., I have used one of the new spring colour distress inks by Tim Holtz - Peacock feathers...it's a gorgeous colour.

Here's my card for this week...

I stampted the Home sweet home heart directly onto the card first, masked it and the margins each side so that I could stamp the 2 borders in the same colour.  It would look really lovely in different colours too so I might have a go at that later.

Cameo meets Anna Griffin

Here are some cards I made with the Lace and Cameo stamps with some of my stash.

I used some of the lovely Anna Griffin frame and quote stamps when they were on QVC a while ago.  The backing paper used on this card is from the Thomas Kinkade CD... there are some gorgeous backing papers on this fab CD collection that I use all the time. I used the square lattice embossing folder by SU for the cream panel.. I love this folder because I love the texture.  The Lace is from the Live each moment stamp sheet stamped onto cream paper with aged mahogony Tim Holtz distress ink.  Those lovely Roses are from a lovely pack of Anna Griffin Rose 3D stickers ... I love those Lol...

 Another similar card here but using the Tied together embossing folder inked one side on the folder with TH Antique linen before running through my cuttlebug.. I love this effect, it's so soft. I used two layers of white embossed lace that I coloured after with ink .. adding a bow from the same Live each moment Lace stamp sheet and two gorgeous Anna Griffin yellow 3D Rose stickers.

For this card I stamped one of the Cameos onto black card and embossed with Gilded Ivory embossing powder then die cut the cameo using a spellbinders oval die.  I then stamped one of the lovely Anna Griffin oval frames using the same embossing powder - layering the cameo over the frame.  Using a small 4" doily and some lovely black patterned card (which is card from packaging that I had to save!).. to tone down the white card I inked the edges using TH Antique linen ink.  Quite a simple card to make but I think looks fab!

I did the cameo the same way as above but stamped onto cream card and then inked it green...for the frame I inked TH Bundled sage green on the outside of frame and TH weathered wood in the inside.  I added some lace from the Take one step lace stamp sheet that was stamped and embossed with seafoam white and inked with the TH bundled sage green... this is layered over some  gorgeous  backing paper from the Ivory cats CD

This Card using the same technique used above to create this kind of cameo but this time using shades of pink ink to create the coloured cameo   The gorgeous backing paper is from the lovely Ivory cats CD.

Embossing folder samples

I thought I'd pop in and show the samples I made for the TV show last weekend that never got a chance to be shown..I am sure they will be on air next time though.

They are made with this multi pack of embossing folders at Joanna Sheen

  Antique linen ink dabbed on one

side of folder . Versamark dabbed on for the

middle panel + heat embossed

with holographic powder.

  Various colours of UTEE on 5 ½ inch

panelcut into equal squares.

Embossed each one in folder

then mounted on black square and then onto card.

  Used this template from internet

forbag, embossing each section,

adding wax crayon and heating with

gun to create a faux leather look

(idea from the same wonderful blog above)

before glueing into place.

  Embossed onto cream and black

card. Used glue pen and gold foil on

black. Peel offs on bottom.

  Printed paper from CD – embossed

and sanded to raised white pattern.

Embossed onto foiled rainbow vellum

with added peeloffs.

Cameo Stamp Samples plus a FREEBIE

Wow! what a show Joanna did today.  These Cameo stamps sold out after only 20 minutes into the show.  I am so delighted that they are so popular.

Here are my 10 sample cards that I made for the show with brief descriptions of how I made each one. Plus I have a Freebie template to download at the end.

  Embossed cameos with gilded Ivory powder. Die cut , 

Inked, layered up. Background printed paper embossed with 

folder then sanded and inked around the edges.

  Twice Stamped and embossed with

white powder onto parchement paper. 

Layered the cameo after colouring 

with promarkers underneath. Added white

peel offs.

  Stamped & Black embossed cameo onto cream 

card -stamed 2^nd one onto sticky backed alluminium 

foil embossed with black. Wrapped the foiled cameo

 around a die cut piece of card cut to 

size – layered onto frame.

  Silver embossed cameo onto black

card then cut a rectangle. Stamped

and black embossed cameo onto holographic 

card.. die cut and layered up.

  Used MS all over page Art deco

punch. Stamped cameo twice one

onto cream other on black both embossed with 

gilded Ivory. Die cut the cameo and used crystal laquer. 

Inked the frame with walnut stain.

My own bodyform template.

Stamped collar and along bottom

using cosmic shimmer powder.

Cameo embossed white..inked then

placed into a cameo mount

Covered with crystal laquer to

give glass effect.

Joanna Sheen - Cameo Rubber Stamps

My new Cameo stamp designs for Joanna Sheen are being launched on Creat and Craft tomorrow (Saturday 21st April) at 12 Noon GMT.. You can view it live on the C&C website if you don't have the TV Channel.

Sample cards from todays show...

Jo Channon was on todays shows on Create and craft.  One of the products she lauched was the lovely Mandala stamps from Joanna Sheen 

I was asked to make cards for two of the sheets.. here they are..

The first three are from the Madras Magic sheet

Stanmped with white embossing powder, inked with distress inks, decopaged with added sequins. Rose was stamped and embossed with white and inked and then rolled.

 Stamped onto vellum and embossed with white powder then coloured on back with promarker pens.. Flower made up of 12 individual leaves and centre of mandala.

 I was inspired by a tutorial I found on the web when I created this card. I used the little birdy motif from the stamp sheet to decorate my tiles. To find out how I created the faux Delph tile - click here  The Jug is my own shape stamped and embossed and inked. The Daffodils are from Joanna Sheen's pressed flower stamps..

...and these are from the Balti Night sheet.....

 Still inspired by the card above I decided to create more tiles onto coated card - inking them and stamping the mandala and embossing with copper powder.

 Inking the stamp with different colours creates the multi colour background. The bright orange strip paper is from DCWV.

 I drew a rough shape of an elephent to cut around and then added the decorated pieces that I stamped, embossed and coloured and added a few gems. I used a versamark pen and gilded Ivory embossing powder to add the extra sparkly bits around the feet, head and near the tail. If you like this card and would like to have a go at decorating your own elephent here is the elephant template for you to use.

Knitting Stamps

Sorry it's been a while, I did mean to add these Joanna Sheen Knitting stamp sample cards much earlier.

I made 4 cards for the shows but I cant wait to make more Lol..
Here is the first one.. a knitting bag card.

...and when you open it up it has all this inside...

To make this card I created my own template.. Feel free to download it and use it yourselves .. click on the image and save.

You will need to use the template to cut 2 parts and then you overlap the flaps on the bottom and glue them together... this makes the bag ready to embelish etc.
I used the template to cut out the paper to both line and cover the bag. I used the stamps to create the patterned paper for the inside, adding extra stamps from the Joanna Sheen Haberdashery range of stamps . For the outside I stamped the images first and then embossed them throught the cuttlebug using the Square lattice embossing folder by Stampin up. Acetate scored and folded created a little stand inside the bag to glue other bits and pieces that I stamped out using the Haberdashery stamps.. the little gift card holder is a piece of card with corners to hold the card.
The flap over the bag is also embossed with the square latice folder then glued to the back with velcro added for the front to hold the bag card shut with a button to embellish.
The handle of the bag is coloured with a Tan promarker pen. I used a die to create the rose but embossed it before rolling up.. to make a 'knitted' Rose..Lol..
.. This bag was alot of fun to make and I hope that some of you will be inspired to use the template and make one for youreselves, if you do, I'd love to see it.

Here is the second card I made...

I stamped the borders on the sheet in various colours direct onto the card. The lovely house is stamped from Joanna Sheen's Garden of dreams Countryside stamps and coloured with promarkers. The heart is stamped with a mixture of ink and then embossed through the cuttlebug with the Square lattice folder.

For the third card I cut out a square of card... embossed it with the square lattice folder... then pricked some holes and used wool to do blanket stitch around the edge. I then stamped the lovely knitted heart and the I love knitting stamp and added it to the card.

and here is the forth card

I stamped onto brown craft paper the borders and tile square.... making sure to stamp the ones I wanted white - with versamark to emboss with white powder. and then run it through the cuttlebug in the square lattice folder. (you might have guessed by now that this folder is fabulous for knitting theme or embroidery theme cards) I made a tassel out of the wool and added some under the little greeting.

Lace and Knitting Stamps Day 3

I'm back after a few busy days to add more of the sample cards I made using the Lace and Knitting designs that I designed for Joanna Sheen. I used the Take one Step sheet for these cards.

For this card I stamped the border and 2 hearts onto black paper and embossed with white powder. I also stamped 2 of the hearts onto cream paper and embossed with black powder.
I cut the main part out of the white embossed and layered them onto the cream hearts. To make up the card I used black strips of card folded around each corner layering the borders on top. The hearts are on foam tape... I made 3 roses and added them onto the die cut swirls. The verse is also on the stamp sheet. I finished with the faux stitching done with a gel pen. The paper was given a vintage look using Antique linen distress ink.

Here's my second card...

For this card I stamped the square lace stamp 3 times embossing it with brown tapastery powder, then coloured the lace panel with a multicolour of distress inks to create a tapastery feel. The background paper is from one of Joanna sheens CDs (I can't remember which one sorry).. I stamped the lace border along the top with brown in and onto each end of the die cut verse topper. I made the rose and die cut the leaves and brances.

...and here is the third card I made using the Take one Step sheet.
and inside...

I made my own template for the windows, cut them out and added frames inside and outside the card with acetate and tulle inbetween. I stamped the brickwork from Country house onto the front around the windows. For the inside of the card I created a Wedding Cake using the stamps. I cut the two tiers out of card inking them lightly with blue.. I stamped the borders onto cream paper embossing with white and then lightly inking each one with blue to make the white show up.. then I stuck them onto the tiers. The boards are mirror paper scored using an embossing board. The little flower border was stamped in blue and I used a versamark pen in the center of each flower and embossed with holographic powder. The bow is also stamped with versamark and embossed with holographic powder and inked to define the bow. The little vase on top is cut out of a stamped and embossed lace tile that is on the sheet and again inked with blue. I used die cut letters and added a feather as a finishing touch.
