Pressed Flower Stamps

Thank you for all your lovely comments on my last post.. it's wonderful that so many of you took the time to let me know how much you like my card for the Less is More challenge this week.

The minute I saw Joanna Sheen's Pressed Flower Stamps launched on TV last weekend, I knew I really, really needed them.. Lol! I started pressing flowers back in 1998 and got well and truly hooked from then on. Sadly, due to ill health over the last 6 years, my garden is no longer full of flowers for me to press so my pressing has become less and less. Ocassionally I will press something for someone as a surprise...or offer to press special flowers and sometimes I see flowers in the florist that I just have to press Lol... Anyway, I treated myself to all three stamp sheets of the Pressed flower stamps and have had a little play already. I have lots of stamped coloured in flowers now he he. ... and I have tried something different with them... here are a couple of cards I have made so far....
I am really loving combining cream and white with black. I stamped the hydrangea stamp onto cream paper with black momento ink cut them out and added little pearls in the centre of each one then I used 2 other stamps to add the 'filler' foliage straight onto the card.. I really like the fresh look it has.
I had a couple of little flowers left over so added them to this card....
I added gems in the centre of these flowers.

Thanks you for visiting my blog today - I will be back tomorrow with 2 more cards I have made lately using just freebies..

  3. Love both cards - so clean and simple, yet both are quite dramatic!!
I also press flowers, and use leaves in autumn, especially maple leaves.
