Getting ready for Christmas

With 3 grandchildren......I've been busy getting ready for tomorrow... 1st December

I made these with brown craft card and a lovely papermania Christmas in the country paper pad all cut out using the Tonic 3D star die.  I cut little windows in the back intending to add the treat after making them all up, but decided to add big chocolate coins as I was glueing them together..the little window will make it easier to rip open the star to get to the chocolate... just what little kiddies love doing LOLOL!!

I'll post more piccys when I get photos of them hanging up!
Thanks for visiting today..

Mini flower cards

I made these cards using the lovely new Joanna Sheen Signature garden container dies with the flowers for pots range of rubber stamps.  I coloured the flowers with promarker pens before I cut them out.  Some of the dies are cut from wood veneer, some are cut from embossed wallpaper and then coloured.  The 'pebbles' in some of them are also cut out pieces of wallpaper.
I hope they will inspire some of you to make your own little floral cards.
They are very easy to make and look so clean and fresh.. I am completely addicted to playing with them LOL.

More flowers for pots

I'm off to visit  the NEC in Birmingham today, I've not been before so I am looking forward to it.
It's been a while since my last blog post I thought I would add a few samples I've made since last time.

The first batch are using the new flower stamps for pots that I designed for Joanna Sheen.  Joanna wanted tiny little flower stamps that would fit her fabulous new signature container dies to scale.

This second batch of samples are made using Joanna Sheens new Signature large Patchwork dies.

Thank you for visiting today, I hope you've enjoyed looking at the samples.

Summer Flowers for Pots

When Joanna asked me to design lots of little flowers to fit into her brand new signature container dies, I knew I would l love them... and I do.  They are so much fun to play with!.. when I was asked to make a card for a friends Mum who loves flowers - I knew that these would be perfect for her.

All the flowers on this card are from the Summer Flowers for Pots sheet  of stamps.  The container I used here is the Joanna Sheen Signature die - Hanging Basket

I stamped all the flowers out multiple times on sheets of white card using various colours of  ink pads.. then spent a very relaxing few hours colouring them all in with promarker pens.
I cut out the ones I wanted for the card, leaving the rest for the next card I make. I added some cut out flowers on the inside of the card as well.

The backing paper on the card was stamped with several colours to create a clean bright pattern.  The Background for the image was created using the brick and stonework stamps from Joanna Sheen Country House stamps that I designed a few years ago.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.  I would love to know what you think of these little flowers and the new wonderful Signature Container dies  that are available on the Joanna Sheen website right now!.

New from Joanna Sheen - Signature Dies garden containers and stamps

Joanna Sheen has some amazingly gorgeous new Signature dies - lots of garden containers.  They are so adorable and will look fantastic on both cards and scrapbook pages and any other projects you can think of.  I was asked to design a set of flower stamps to go with them.

Vintage Christmas stamp samples

Joanna Sheen launched her brand new Vintage Christmas stamps the other day.  I designed these for her, here are my sample cards.

I used a snowflake punch to make the greenery.  The pine cones and the birds on the holly images are on the Make a Wish stamp sheet.  I made the shimmery background using mica sprays.

I love making anything that used honeycomb papers. I made them the same way as the Honeycomb hearts  I made back in February. These baubles have gold embossed Reindeers  running along them, the pine cone, background baubles and pine cones are on the Make a Wish stamp sheet.
 Here they are opened up...

I stamped the large single Poinsettia serveral times, enough to cut out and layer them up. The topper is also one of the stamps on the Make a Wish stamp sheet.
The backing paper is from the wonderful brand new Joanna Sheen Victorian Christmas Cards CD

I stamped the same Poinsettia spray to make this topper.  First I stamped and embossed it with white powder onto Vellum, coloured it on the back with promarker pens, then I run this through the cuttlebug in the frame embossing folder.  I also embossed the red card with the same folder.  I cut out the middle part from the red so that the vellum one could sit inside it from behind, the whole thing was layered onto gold paper to give the topper a gold glow through the vellum. I stamped the lace border also on vellum and layered it on some green mirror card.

Using the vintage radio as inspiration I made this card.  I cut the card into a radio shape adding various brown card, some embossed, some I used a pen to add details. I used peeloffs too. The knobs are buttons with nail heads (like a smaller card candy) in silver glued on top.
Inside I added music sheets that I had inked with distress inks and stamped white snowflakes, also on the Make a Wish sheet.  I added more brown craft paper before adding the Vintage radio topper and  flowers.  The Hellibores (Christmas Roses) are on the same sheet.

For this card I used the Christmas tree from the Starlight Starbright sheet of stamps.  I cut a pentagon from vellum, layering it onto blue card.  I then stamped the tree 5 times also onto vellum - arranging them around the pentagon to make a star shape.  The blue background has some of the pretty snowflakes from the same sheet along with the Star Light and Star Bright words.  I added lines with a white gel pen to give the impression of the star shining.

This card uses a lovely oval frame sizzix embossing folder, I inked one side of the folder with red before I run it through the machine giving the frame some colour. The background is stamped with various colours of the snowflake stamp.  The topper is the lovely Father Christmas on the Starlight Starbright sheet. and so are the Christmas Roses and Baubles that I stamped onto vellum.

I like stamping the snowflake in different colours.. the still look so festive.  The Amaryllis flowers are on the Starlight Starbright sheet. I decoupaged the flowers for a more 3D feel.

I stamped and coloured the Vintage Radio topper with promarker pens.  I used a snowflake boarder punch to cut some vintage music layering them onto green and red also punched boarders.  The Chritmas Roses are the mini ones from the sheet.

The window is a mini shaker window.. with the reindeer stamped for the background in the window.  The festive banner looks wonderful decoupaged at the top and the paper chains are cut out to look like they've been hung up!  The poinsettia was stamped several times but some coloured green with the red ones layered up on the top.

Thanks for visiting and looking at my blog today.
